8 games in seems a little early to proclaim Ryan Day the next Nick Saban but we'll see.

    ...still holds.

As far as I can tell, while it was viewed as pretty even, the consensus of odds-makers had Michigan as a 1 point favorite.

It is always great to see Texas fail. Nothing quite like seeing the ultimate 5star recruit program, funded by a bottomless sovereign wealth fund get beat by second tier programs that just plain want it more and fight tooth and nail every down for the W. Congratulations to TCU.

Lou Holtz once said that coaches have to always keep in mind that though they may coach the same roster every week, they're not coaching the same team every week. It explains how Illinois can beat by Eastern Michigan and then beat Wisconsin which dismantled Michigan which went onto embarrass Notre Dame.

Who said that? I said he's NOT Urban Meyer. And that is a good thing.

    You also said this:

I believe it's a premature assessment, lest I remind you that Urban Meyer started out 24-0 in his tenure in Columbus. Meyers didn't slip on a banana peel until his third year in Columbus. Let's see if Day can do the same.

The Meyer of the last several years was not the Meyer of 2012-2014(and even 2014 hung on a thread until they were rescued by the Committee). His teams reflected that, at the worst possible moments.

Do you believe Meyers regressed as a coach after 2014?
