Saturday night....steak, a dry martini and football...a perfect evening ...

I don't think either us has the moral authority to "legitimize" football whatever that means, I was just refuting your assertion that any family that's experienced a tragic football injury would feel the same way about football as you do.

And I have no problem with anyone who truly loves a sport, jazzy, as you obviously do with college football. Football is just no longer on my radar. I never watch a game.

Being a Merkan, I can't escape it because I watch ESPN and its on there almost continuously, but I just don't follow it anymore.

As I said, I used to love watching it. When I played golf, my off-season routine (Nov-Dec) was to practice sunrise to sundown Monday - Friday, then on Saturday I would practice until about 2 PM, and then come home and watch college football. Sunday was usually a long run, some putting until about noon. Then I vegged out, ate Ruffles, drank my Coke, and watched pro football. It was fun but I just can't do that anymore.

The same could have been said about the Big 10 two years ago when Ohio State knocked Wisconsin out of the playoffs.

A shame they lost to Arizona State. If this holds Big 12 is a play-in game(unless Georgia shocks the world lol).

    Long way to go though...

Yep, there's no way the Big 12 could have jumped the PAC 12 if #5 Oregon was playing #6 Utah.
