We can only speculate on that since Nick Saban's Alabama team has been unique among FBS football teams over the last 12 years in that they don't lose to unranked teams. No other team can say that.

Definitely a few halftime adjustments needed on the defensive side, and a few less missed tackles.
    They are playing better now...

Defense night and day from 1st half. Just some excellent coaching adjustments.

I and many other LSU fans had doubts about the Tiger's chances of going the distance because their defense, but over the last two weeks, LSU's defense has made a believer out of me. I suspect that it would have never happened if the Committee hadn't dropped them from #1 to #2 two weeks ago said that the reason the did it is because the defense sucks. In that respect, the Committee didn't Coach Orgeron a favor by dropping them.

As for the 4th playoff spot, I still think that both Georgia and Oregon are better than Oklahoma, but unfortunately they both have two losses, including one against teams that were clearly inferior to them.

Magic 8-ball strikes again! Let's see if it gets the rest right.

    OhSt > Okla
    Clem > LSU (great game!)

Clem > OhSt (nuther great game!)

    Dabo last-laughs AGAIN.
(And M8B even admits Clem is not a better team than OhSt or LSU!)

I'll be stunned if LSU isnt the #1 seed.

As for OSU vs Clemson - Clemson has gotten fat and sassy against a conga line of weak and overmatched opponents. Pundits are saying LSU and OSU are scared to play Clemson. I suspect both teams are laughing at the suggestion, and would relish the opportunity to expose the Tigers, especially the Ohio State defense.

One last thing about last night - Justin Fields was uncharacteristically high and wide on several throws. My guess would be that was due to his knee issue, and probably having difficulty planting that left leg solidly. With 3+ weeks he should be much better by playoff time, and we shouldnt see the misses he had against Wisconsin yesterday.
