The Utah defense, which is supposed to be loaded with NFL talent, certainly didn't live up to the hype. One of our local talking heads said that some of LSU's defensive players would have a tough time cracking the starting lineup at Utah.

I wonder if Saban will be on the set of College Gameday today, promoting his program, which is what he usually does when he's left out of the SEC Championship game. He's often compared to Bill Belichick, but I can't see Belichick ever being the tireless recruiter that Saban is.

    Meanwhile....

    In the RG today....

Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens, the selection committee chairman, has to be wondering what the benefit was of scheduling Auburn.

Would the Ducks be in the playoff at 12-1 had they opened the season with a cupcake?

I know jazzy will love this - the CFP committee members today - https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater

This is the Facebook page of a friend I've gotten to know at several Olympics, Bill Hancock. Bill is the executive director of the CFP. At the Olympics he works for the USOC/USOPC as a volunteer in the media centre, where we've gotten to know each other.
