If Clemson loses they're out. LSU and Ohio State would both probably survive one loss

I'm not so sure about that. If LSU and Ohio State lose to Georgia and Minnesota respectively, and Alabama, Utah and Oklahoma win out, I suspect that either the Tigers or the Buckeyes or maybe both would get left out.

One of our local talking heads pointed out that up until Saturday, Ohio State was on track to join the pantheon of the most dominant teams of all times, alongside such teams as the 1995 Cornhuskers, but the Penn State game ended those sort of discussions. However, they did loosen LSU's grip on the #1 spot according to the Coaches Poll and they have a good shot at leapfrogging LSU, depending on how they play the next two weeks.

LSU will play a top 5 team in the conference title game. OSU has two remaining that hover around top 10. Will be interesting to see who they view as stronger resume. Definitely is a big deal this year as the unlucky number two gets to face Clemson in the semi.

I'll hold off on designating Clemson with juggernaut status until it actually plays someone.

As a cynical Ohioan who watched Tressel torture us with 7!! wins by 7 or less with ultra-conservative ball (fun in hindsight, excruciating in real time) in 2002 and the surreal Championship with a 3rd string QB in 2014...I'll believe it when I see it. No egg has hatched until there's a chicken in the pot!
You there, on the motorbike! Sell me one of your melons!
