11-10-2019 12:52 AMFor Clemson it's pretty simple. Win out and they're in, lose and they watch the playoffs on TV. There will be no one-loss teams ranked ahead of them.

11-10-2019 01:05 AMIf Clemson is undefeated they'll be in.
The scenario you present is interesting and I don't know what the committee would do. Georgia has the "bad" loss but is the Conference champ. LSU would have beaten Alabama. I think LSU would be judged to have played the tougher opponents and would have beaten Florida. Alabama is probably out in this scenario.
They may not ultimately need it but Alabama should hope Auburn beats Georgia and then Alabama beats Auburn. Assuming LSU wins the SEC, that probably puts two SEC teams in as I don't think a one loss Oregon gets in over Alabama in that scenario.Last edited by NotDutra5; 11-10-2019 at 01:12 AM.

11-10-2019 01:12 AMYou want confusion? What if Oregon wins out, Ohio State loses a squeaker to Minnesota and LSU loses a squeaker to Georgia?

11-10-2019 01:59 AMBy the way, if anyone is looking for proof that Ryan Day is a major upgrade for Ohio State in the head coach dept, look no further than the respective 2018/2019 Maryland games.
2018 - OSU 52 -51 in OT
2019 - OSU 73-14
Day inherited a team that lost NINE players to the NFL draft this spring, including arguably the best QB in it's history, replaced with a sophomore transfer.
Onward...There are no strings on me
