I don't think we should differentiate between good liars and bad liars.

Three is too many. One I can understand.
Numerous passed tests mean little in track and field. All athletes who cheated passed more than 11 tests. Some passed as many as 20 tests while they were cheating.
But 3 missed tests raises the alarm. Something is not quite right when an athlete misses 3 tests.

Or the tester could have gone to the right place, but failed to find him even though he was there.

British cyclist Lizzie Armitstead won her appeal on the basis that the testers didn't take reasonable steps to contact her when they showed up at the hotel where she was staying.

However, he's only disputing one missed test out of the three, so he's still at fault for missing two.

This article is a bit dated, but it does illustrate that no matter what, shit still happens.

    Interesting tidbit:

Cantwell has never tested positive, but he has missed an out-of-competition test. He then missed a second test because he did not update quarterly whereabouts to say he would be competing at the U.S. Indoor Championships in Boston. Cantwell won the indoor title and was tested in-competition in Boston, but on the same day a doping-control officer showed up at his house for an out-of-competition test in Missouri. Just like that, he was one strike away from suspension. That didn't sit well.

Interesting in that you have to tell them where you are...

Which of the 3 is Coleman contesting?

Having been in journalism working for newspapers and magazines, both as a writer and editor, I never heard of ANY writer who got to write his own headline and, even if it was attempted, the editor would have rewritten the sucker!
