Happy birthday today (Wednesday) to two Olympic champions with a total of two Olympic gold medals.

Our birthday people were born a total of 197 years ago today.

Both athletes died on a Friday (one was 32 and the other was 74) and both competed in two Olympic Games.

The older person was 15 when the younger athlete was born and this older individual was 18 when competing in the first of those two Olympics.

They were not born in the same continent.

One of these champions would have been 106 years old today.

Neither person won Olympic gold in Asia or North America.

Can you name both Olympic champions with birthdays on this day when Usain Bolt turns 33?

    Go ahead and try.

I was thinking Charlie Jenkins, but he won 2 golds not 1, and I do not think he was 28 in 1956. So scratch Jenkins even thought the initials work.

Very good, LopenUupunut. It is Corny Johnson and Chris Brasher, born today some 106 and 91 years ago. Johnson, of course, won the high jump in Berlin (1936) and Brasher won the steeplechase in Melbourne (1956).

Johnson competed in the Los Angeles high jump in 1932 at the age of 18. He was fourth place there.

Brasher competed in the Helsinki steeplechase in 1952 at the age of 23. He was 11th place there.

    Very well done, LopenUupunut.
