Zagreb: Felix v Naser v Francis
    #1
Felix has been announced for Zagreb, where she will face current world number 2 Naser & reigning World Champion Francis.

Though I'm sure no one expects her to win, we all hope to see some progress after the US champs so she can be considered for the relay in Doha.

    Not Naser, but perhaps Francis?

Felix will be much faster this time. She was lumbering before. It takes a while to let your speed loose, even mentally turning it loose, when you have been on the shelf.
She'll run a second and a half faster minimum, in the same conditions.

She will probably be getting faster, but 1.5s improvement in a few weeks would be shocking.

If 49.95 is the minimum, pregnancy is like steroids. And she'd be at 48.3 next year.

I was thinking maybe a solid 50.5 was a good goal

I'm keeping my expectations for Felix within a conservative range. Sub-51 will make me happy.

    5 weeks and a few days after her 51.45. 50.5 - 50.8 seems sensible.

I agree. And I'm not even fully confident she will hit sub 51.

What this tells me is that she likely wants to run the relay in Doha and she thinks it will keep her on the right track towards qualifying for Tokyo.

I was thinking somewhere between 50.9 and 51.3
