Hopefully for Brussels as I have taken a punt on her for the Fantasy DL, given their f’up in omitting the w100H.

Felix runs 17.37(0.0) at Great City Games(worth 23.57 for 200m).

If she'd kept going that far, it would have been about 23.17, 6.2 for 50 with a running start is pedestrian.

Considering her 50m "pace" for the first 150 was 5.79, 6.2 for the final 50m is a reasonable expectation(especially with zero wind).

Felix WINS at Great City Games (worth quite a $$$ for appearing).

That must suck for the two ladies from GB that AF beat since they have run SBs of 22.50 (Dobbin) and 22.85 (Nelson).

The interview was enlightening regarding were AF sees herself at this point.

To take nothing away from Felix’s run, Dobbin is a 200/400 runner - 150m is the wrong direction for her. Nelson is more of a short sprinter than her, but has focused on running some 400s and stayed mainly in 200m territory over the last couple of seasons, given she’s slid down the UK 100m rankings for a few years.

I did not mean to disparage the GB ladies, but rather the one who was wishing to disparage AF. Even if AF did run the equivalent of 23.57, she beat two ladies who have run some decent 200s this year.

You're forgetting that the first 50 skews that number. If that first 50 was 6.2, the next 100 "pace" was 5.585, and no way is she going to run that last 50 that much slower than the preceding two. And 6.20 would be remarkable for that first 50. She is not in shape to run a 6.20 50 out of the blocks. Much more like 6.30.

The world record for 50 is 5.96 by Irina Privalova. The best indoor sprint Felix ever did was 7.10 for 60 meters, worth at best 6.10 for 50, and she's nowhere near that now.

Decent run from Felix. Honestly, I'm just happy to see her healthy and competing this year. Next year is the goal, and I hope she can at least run sub-50 then and make the US team.
