understood; I'm taking the position that if you haven't specifically declared them not eligible then they remain a viable option

Bahamas Men 4x400 bronze. They may not even qualify much less win a medal.

You got the wrong Pole on the podium in the 800 :P I'm not even certain Lewandowski is going to do that event. His no. 1 priority is now definitely the 1500.

AFAIK Liu Hong won't be competing in the 50km, 20km is still her focus and absolute priority.

They released a statement saying that she's eligible for selection based on the IAAF rankings on August 16, which effectively means she'll be selected.

What federation would shoot themselves in the foot and no pick the WL in an event just to prove a point.....wait, don't answer that, enough examples where the sport has been run, funded and made decisions right for administrators and not for athletes!

Williams was also classy on the BBC coverage when she was asked about this, she got herself a new fan and I think the race with Harrison is going to be a highlight of the champs as the women's sprint hurdles often is.

Do we have any indication if SAFP is going to run both sprint events or will they wait till the last minute?
