It's a much weaker field that in recent years but you can bet the USA will still probably win the 4x4 in Doha!

I had written Felix off this season and I still find it hard to believe she is entering the nationals off no racing whatsoever. However, athletes do come back in good form so soon after pregnancy, although having a C section like Felix did does make it tougher.

I do think she's made the right decision to get back racing asap if she wants to run in Tokyo. Had she taken this whole year off as I thought she would, it would have been a huge task to come back next year and try and make the team.

Bolden says she is fit enough to make the team. I will be really surprised if she does in the individual, but let's see. I wonder if the real aim is to show some form, and then in the next 9 weeks until Doha improve enough to be considered for the relay.

I would think it's all or nothing - either she makes the team and looks good, or she doesn't make the final. I just can't see her as an also-ran in the final.

today i’ll step on the starting line for the first time in over a year. it might sound cliche, but making it there is a huge victory.

8 months ago this was my world [attached picture of baby in incubator]. it’s been a tough road. i’m far from my best, but grateful for this opportunity & most importantly our health.

This looks like one of the least predictable events this year. Apart from Felix as the total unknown, there's a lot of people in the field who can run 49.xx at their best but haven't shown that kind of form this year; no telling which of them, if any, will step up.

Lol. Based off the results this year, 51 can make the final. Maybe she drops just below that and surprises herself.
