Of the top 4 SM was almost a ghost. Little pushed the race then had two killer stutter steps. Spencer closed like a demon. Muhammad with a massive run. And Syd cruised along by herself as if it was a stroll in the park.

Great race. Can it be duplicated in Doha?

I agree Sydney looks like there's a LOT more there...at the risk of jumping way ahead....2020 might be truly, truly epic with these two pushing each other. But maybe Doha will be, too.

Don't know if anybody noticed reaction times but Muhammad was the slowest reaction in the race - 0.287 vs 0.198 for McLaughlin and Little (Spencer 0.202). I know that reactions for 400H are not often considered but shows there might be more there at the start too.

Muhammad and McLaughlin should definitely be considered for the relay.

The announcer after the race said raise your hand if you've seen a world record in person. He then said raise your hand if you've seen a world record in Iowa. It's safe to say that everyone's hand was up!

Haven’t seen anyone disrespecting Muhammad on here. 🤷🏾*♂️

Picking another person to win doesn’t equal disrespect.

I feel like I see more people anti SM, because they feel like she’s passed some imaginary line of getting too much shine....

not true: at the '70 NCAA Ralph Mann set a WR in the 440yH and Jan Johnson set an indoor WR in the vault
