    Good to know. Better?

Guideline 11 does indeed articulate the principle of 'fair use', i.e., 'small snippets'. Mia apologia.

    11. Please respect the copyright of others: do not cut and paste whole articles to this site. Using the principle of "fair use," there's nothing wrong with quoting small snippets of copy in to, but if you want somebody to read a whole article, please provide the URL. The same goes for copyrighted photos.
My intent, as always, was to encourage reading the whole thing, by showing the value contained therein.

    51.6? wow, that's a ways from 52.2.

As with my pie-in-the-sky predictions for Mondo (6.25-6.30), I have to think that SM is on track for that in her career.

I guess she'd need sub-50 speed (probably well under 50) to have a chance of doing that.

Muhammad's gap 400-400H is 1.60s. SM is already at 50.07, so 51.67 is indicated, because she's already as technically adept as DM.

Because she's competed in the flat 400 so rarely. At the end of last season, her flat 400m and 400h PRs were identical at 52.64, which obviously didn't represent her true 400m ability. 1.6s is not a representative difference; she's almost certainly in sub-50 shape now.

I was thinking the same thing-she's in 49ish condition.

Facts not in evidence. She actually focused on her 400 races, a point made in the coach's remarks.

I'd be surprised if 1.6 was the actual differential for Muhammad.

She focused on the 400 starting this season, and ran sub-52 and sub-51 for the first time ever in 2019. In prior seasons as a pro, all her 400 races would be at a couple meets in March/April or none at all.
