Sam just jumped at a street vault in Omaha tonight. It was posted as 19 feet, probably actually 5.80m. Chris Nilsen made the same height.

I believe they both made 5.80 passed 5.85, and went out at 5.90.

    Indeed. From
    https://www.runnerspace.com/gprofile...news_id=581856

Kendricks [and Nilsen] cleared 19 feet, 0.25 inches (5.90m) and Morris made 15-9 (4.80m) to both earn the $2,500 winner’s prizes, courtesy of the Omaha Sports Commission.
South Dakota graduate Emily Grove, who placed fourth at U.S. nationals, cleared a lifetime-best 15-5 (4.70m) on her second attempt to finish runner-up to Morris.
    Grove prev. PR: 15-3 (4.65)

I had seen the report that Atticus posted a link to, but stopped reading after the first line of what he quoted, which included a bad metric conversion (which I wrongly assumed was correct).

Sigh. I’ll guess they got the English measurement correct.

That said, Nielsen is really consistent. I’m thinking he can get 6.01m either indoors or in the outdoor season next year.
