Late entry (cost is 80 bucks instead of 30) ends today at midnight pacific time.

So why is Gatlin not entered?
Or Gillespie (1 or 2) or Norman (200) or P Francis (400) or Jager (3St) or Harrison in HJ or LJ?

If they miss the 'final' deadline, is that it? (I would hope not).

There is an appeals window beyond that.

I do not think Harrison plans to compete this summer. I heard Jager has been injured?

    But surely Gatlin will be.

Even if you have a ‘bye’, you still have to compete to some extent to display fitness.

I don't think showing fitness has anything to do with it. If you have an IAAF wild card, you still have to show up and compete in the USATF championships in some event. But you don't have to do well at all. Some wild card athletes have clearly just gone through the motions at the US Championships and they've still been named to the team.

By fitness, I just meant not being injured, which I think is the purpose of the rule.

One would have to guess at this point that Norman is only doing the 400.

Sha'Carri Richardson just showed up on the entry list for the 100 and 200.
