I am pretty sure you can buy 3 piece suit at Brooks Brothers. I have 4 suits and 10 sport coats from BB and still where them daily when I am out even though I have been retired from doctoring for over a year. I feel it is part of me and it is useful for extra pockets for keys, cell phone. And papers. It takes same amount of time to put on sport coat, slacks as jeans and polo shirt.

That's an interesting fashion choice: sports coat but no shirt!

A three piece tweed suit looks great on the moors...

Come to think of it, I don't think I have ever seen a 3 piece tweed suit.

A mordant fixes die to the fabric.

Harris Tweed used stale human urine as the mordant because of its ammonia content. It was especially useful for setting indigo and the resulting colour was called 'pisspot blue'.

Urine was also used as part of the wool cleaning process.

Finlay MacDonald said in his memoir that, "Not only did it clean the tweed but it gave it that distinctive aroma about which the gentry of the Home Counties used to rave".

Sadly, they now use chemical mordants.

Well, when you are born and raised in Alabama, and you have lived in Houston for the last 44 years, tweed suits is not something you see here. I know that is sad, but that is the truth. I have a heavy over coat that I have not worn in over 25 years.
