Usatf does not allow athletes to chase standards after USAs.

God knows why they did that, especially since the USAs were two months before Doha.

I'm not sure either, I think it's right, but it's complicated by the fact that the USATF qualifying procedures are not as well written as they could have been. Also, Kidder does not appear to be at all ready to run in Doha. The online Road to Doha list linked in Post #1 includes Craig Engels as a qualifier, which is bizarre. He didn't run the 800 at the USATF Nationals and I can't imagine USATF naming him to the team.

Engels is a place holder. The system automatically adds the next in line once a nation gets a 4th spot. You can see that Engels is not "green", meaning he has not been selected and for the purposes of the list it doesn't really matter who the 4th American is, all that matters is that USA has 4 spots. But i do like to get it right.

OK, now understand that. It makes sense. Thank you.

But you still haven't updated Ewa Swoboda's status And I have now seen a couple of reports saying she's going to Turkey for a training camp in preparation for Doha.

OTOH, it's been reported Klaudia Siciarz may skip Doha, but that's not official yet.

You said Swoboda might reconsider if she ran a fast time, which she hasn't, so i didn't change her status. Now you're saying a slow Ewa will still go to Doha?

By all reports she will. You just can't take everything she says seriously; she tends to speak faster than she thinks

With all the on going complaints about USATF (many I am positive are richly deserved), it is nice they actually communicate with you guys.
