Yes that was great...on his arrival driving back from Stapleton on the Boulder Turnpike, a large number of us were at the scenic overlook with a huge sign welcoming Mark back....a very popular win in town....

I see you eliminated Ewa Swoboda from the main qualifiers list. That's a bit premature, I believe. She did suggest after the Euro U23s she wouldn't be going, but then gave another interview, where she said she might reconsider if she was running fast enough for the trip to Doha to make sense.

Seems the one event that more folks than expected will qualify is the men's pole vault with 36 already and a target of 32.

Nope. In case of equal marks, the world ranking is the tie-breaker.

No, it doesn't, sorry, I thought you were talking of ties for potential invites.

Vault and high jump marks are always tricky to set. Once a qualifying mark is set most meets will take them through that mark and so you have to set it artificially high to avoid this scenario. I don't think it will be major problem for qualifying unless they set opening height too low in Doha.

Who gets the 4th American 800m spot? Harris was 4th at the trials but didn't have the standard. He has it now but with the no chasing rule he's out, right? Which means Kidder gets the 4th spot, who was 6th at the trials but the first one with the standard at the time of the trials. Have i got it right?
