    OK, I misunderstood the situation. I thought there was explicit law that prevented it.

    I agree it's sensible for a private citizen to be careful until there are a few precedents established - by people with lots of money.

    I almost got killed by a bike (100% my fault) on the Boulder Creek Trail turning around to catch up to Plaatjes in 1994.

    Plaatjes' '93 win is still one of my favorite WC memories.
