India just announced they accepted an invite for Dutee Chand, and Purica is ahead of her in the world rankings (currently tied for 48th on your list). So I think we are in round two.

This from British steeplechaser, Phil Norman.

    https://twitter.com/_philnorman?lang=en

"Today I received an IAAF invite to the world championships.

Today British Athletics declined this invitation.

I've proved I am worthy of the world stage, so to say I'm gutted to here the news is an understatement.

Time to rebuild for Tokyo and remove any doubt."

Norman turns 30 in October. He ran a six second PB of 8:29.37 this year.

    The auto standard is 8:29.00.

I don't know UK selection procedures well enough to know if he would have been guaranteed entry with the auto, but that's brutal.

Talk about a federation that DIScourages the pursuit of excellence!
    That's total crapola.

Probably worried he'll embarrass the country by failing to make it to the final.
