Thanks. Since we have the Swedish expert here, what happened with Lisa Gunnarsson?

Hungary confirms the invitation of 2012 Olympic Hammer champ Krisztian Pars has been invited. Gator Hakim Sani Brown will run only the 100, not the 200, for Japan.

At first I was wondering how they could be sending out invitations before the various countries have submitted their entries. But then I realized they already know (as of Sept 6) the maximum number of possible qualified entries every country can submit, which in turn lets them know each event will have at least X invites, with more to be added later depending on the actual entries from each country.

Doesn't work because they finished the invitation process today.

Any athlete who is on the team for another event is eligible for the relay, even if not explicitly included in the official 6-member relay pool. The article probably reflects the intentions of the Jamaican officials for staffing the relay, not the formal list of entries (which probably hasn't yet been submitted to the IAAF).

Finished the whole invitation process, or just the first round of invites based on the current known information?

If it already completely ended, that means they've set the invites based on the theoretical maximums of qualified athletes from each country, which could leave some events short of the target number of athletes wherever any qualified athletes chose not to compete (or couldn't compete) and their country didn't have at least 3 others to send.
