I prefer to wait until after USATF...It is the the most important Nationals worldwide year after year.

btw, putting Schippers on the list of 100 favorites is bs.

bias has nothing to do with it. ANY of the top-end superstars in the 100 (and there are multiple ones) would have a better shot at gold if they switched to the 200 (and none of their top rivals did). Comes down to relative strength of the two events.

And it's hardly as if Bowie's thrilling mad dive at the line to win by 0.01 somehow confers overwhelming favorite status on her 2+ years later.

Are you for real? What she did TWO YEARS ago is irrelevant. There are more contenders in the 100 and thus, her chances lower of winning that event. Stop projecting your own issues (being biased) on others.

Thanks for answering/explaining in a much more effective way than I just did.

US nationals are great to see who qualifies. Come the major champs many are not in the same form unfortunately.

As for Schippers, she's medalled in the last two World Champs over 100m. She is always to be considered.

What are the stadium records for Stanford? We know the magic of the Eugene track for fast times, what about Stanford? Better distance track?

And where did I called Bowie an "overwhelming favorite"? My point is that it is best and fair to at least wait until after the US Championships to prognosticate.

Your listing WC 100 favorites without any Americans and before our National championships is deliberate...and history is not on your side...Americans always contend. You have a anti-US bias dude.
