I was there for day one. Watching Jordan and the other amazing ladies was impressive. Why the dec has not replaced the hept is beyond me. Especially in today’s society. Title IX is irrelevant if the events are not equal. This seems to be something that a half decent lawyer could make happen in ten minutes with the threat of a lawsuit and once the NCAA flips, the domino effect takes over.

06-25-2019 03:31 AMThe events will never be equal. The men have an extra 10 meters in the hurdles race.
Really glad to see the wDec results! 8000+ AR soon?

Jordan had a REALLY good two days to score 7921, but yes 8000+ is definitely possible for her in the future. Not every elite hep has 8000 point potential in the dec, but we will certainly start seeing more approach that range as they attempt it.
Jordan has been seriously training for this for the past two years or so, she wasn't just a random heptathlete who gave it a try. So pleased to have been able to provide the opportunity for her.
She will be competing in the hep at USAs in a month!

The fastest way for us to gain support from the IAAF would be to load our events with gorgeous women who meet the traditional western standards of beauty.
The IAAF has specific views about what women's track and field should look like. Heptathletes' bodies fit the IAAF's image better than decathletes' bodies do.
The Women's Decathlon Association exists to do what it right by the athletes.

06-25-2019 10:54 AMProbably the WR as well.
Let's say that she will score:
12.2 (12.06)
7.2 (7.49)
15.5 (16.00)
1.88 (1.91)
54.5 (53.60 & 55.05 in the 400h)
12.7 (12.61)
38.00 (No PB but she in better that Grey in the SP and this 1m less than her result)
NH
48.00
5:20 (with 2:08 800m should be possible)
Sum up to 8367 which is better than the current WR by 9 points.Last edited by olorin; 06-25-2019 at 11:01 AM.

06-25-2019 11:53 AMThis is the 100 time (same order as the men decathlon).
https://www.iaaf.org/athletes/united...r-kersee-62683
And with 22.3 200 and 12.6 100h I am sure that 12.2 is extremely conservative.
