Anyone find any video of the LJ comp? Seen the 100 and 200 but can't seem to find any of the LJ.

I'd love to see the sprints but USATF won't let anyone see one without paying. It ain't that important.

That was the 200 - here is the LJ:

but I think you need a subscription to see more the beginning of the video.

Boling's upright posture certainly helps him lift of the board.

Petros has some work to do with his LJ technique.

He's salivating already. The killer app is speed, and MB's got that.

absolutely (elementary physics, not that I'm a whiz at such)

for a righthanded discus thrower (aka, almost everybody), you want the wind coming in from the right quarter. Upon release the discus assumes an attitude with the leading edge raised, and—think wing—it rides the incoming breeze.

Conversely, for a lefthander the leading edge is lowered and the disc gets slammed down.

It's this elemental thing that drove Lance Deal from the disc to the hammer, since most facilities are set up with right-favoring winds.

Shows what a non-whiz I am. I thought the wind had to come from the left on a rightie, because the disc is released with the left side canted up, and that would lift the disc.

So that's good news given his already great performances - correct? A lot of upside!
