This is the core reason Mondo is so good and getting better [from home-page-linked article]

“People have their own strengths and weaknesses. Piotr Lisek, for example, we are very different builds - we jump very differently so it’s fun to see things that work for him and things that work for me and trying to incorporate what he does in his jump into mine.”
He is the ultimate agglomeration of everyone else's strengths. His unique ability to mimic other vaulter's technical model allows him to pick and choose the best aspects of everyone else.

He's not on Doha entry list; apparently has a broken finger

That finger even has a name . . . Mondo . . . as in, 'thanks a lot, Mondo, for ruining my star turn in Doha!'

Mondo hasn't PRed outdoors yet this year. I'm nervous, what would the world be like in a year where Mondo doesn't PR? How hard is it to jump 20' anyway!!

Given a venue at 80F and little wind, he might do just that!

If Mondo were to improve his PR by 0.8% he would have to jump 6.10 (20’)!!!

    That is rarified air!!

For example if Noah Lyles improved his PR by 0.8% he would have to go from 19.50 to 19.34 just about .........

Which, of course, he just might.
Another way to look at it is that Mondo has already vaulted 238". What's 2" more?

Yet another way to look at it is to review videos of his 6.0 and 6.05 jumps last summer. All he needed was a higher bar.....

    I'd love something aggressive like 5.60-5.75-5.85-5.90 . . .
