Can hold the weight of Ryan Crouser, but is only the size of Hellen Obiri.

They can hold 200kg (440lb); but what if that weight is not laid down gently but 'plopped' on to the bed?

And given the amount of extra-curricular activity that is rumored to be very common in Olympic villages, one has to ask what happens when two shot putters decide to share a bed for a while? :-)

Isn't that always a concern regardless of the bed-frame construction materials?

I hope those cardboard beds are for the execs and so-called VIPs as well. No need for Japan to bust their budget to placate the so-called elite just to make a decorative or fashion statement. Save that for the Opening/Closing Ceremonies.

I wonder if the seats in the stadium were made out of recycled material as well... :-)

“As long as they stick to just two people in the bed, they should be strong enough to support the load.”
