The height progression at NCAAs is much more aggressive than usual, which is good for Mondo and the field as a whole.

Yes, I hate the early moves to 10cm and then 5cm increases.

I'm guessing he'll come in at 5.50, which is the 3rd bar.

PVP has a video with Chris Nelson which reports a 19' vault (5.80); there is some competition for Mondo out there, as Chris is not the only one.

The question is will Mondo try to put the collegiate record or meet record out of reach for a while?

The men's PV is Wednesday, and the long-range forecasts call for rain at about the time that the event is scheduled to begin. If it's raining and/or the runway is wet, records may not be broken.

unless the weather decides not to cooperate, at which point we get a rash of no-heights and the mantra becomes, "why did they do such a stupidly aggressive progression?" :-)
