He bypassed the 25s just like Mr. Beamon bypassed the 28s!

But even Beamon didn't improve that much in one go.

Of course, Beamon was a mature athlete who had made the US Olympic team.

This kid also ran a hand timed 10.3 100. He certainly has speed.

Or an FAT 9.98 (albeit windy) - which converts to what? 10.2 or something? So he's got even more than 10.3 HT speed!

In the article on the front page Mr Hollobaugh says, "The pit? Level sand, photos and videos of his jumps demonstrated." Has anyone seen any of these photos or videos?

I've been keeping on eye on this guy and the news is . . . 'interesting'.

    His jumps this year

    4/23 - 23'3
    4/26 - 26'6
    4/30 - 22'1
    5/3 - 21'8
    5/10 - 23'7

I have no reason to doubt it, but he sure hasn't been able to back it up.

if he doesn't "confirm" it soon (may require Michigan weather to cooperate) it may well end up with a big question mark.

He also hit 24-0 (nwi) in a triangular on April 3.

According this feature in the Freep, the weather on May 10 was 48F and he only took two jumps. According to his twitter, he had cramped up in the 100m too.

If the argument is that he also has a mark 2 AND A HALF FEET short of his 26'6", that's Question Mark City in my book. (No, I don't really have my own book).
