OK, time to talk about the two billion pound gorilla that's in the room. Operative questions are

    - will it break the domestic weekend record and go over $300,000,000?
    - will it break the domestic record? (Star Wars: The Force Awakens $936,662,225)
    - will it break the world record? (Avatar $2,787,965,087)

My Magic 8-ball says, "Signs point to yes."

The good news is that even though it clocks in at over 3 hours, it puts a lot of its $320,000,000+ budget on the screen and has something for everybody (who's a super-hero fan).

    I've pre-rated it at 11.

OK, a monologue it is then!
Saw it - everything it should have been - often cheesy, which is what we fanbois want anyway. Nothing overly surprising and wraps up this 11-year saga well. Humor and pathos in equal amounts.
On its way to 3 BILLION gross?

Oh, that's another record: most domestic screen showing it: 4662.

YAWN!!! What pisses me off is at over 3 hours the theaters are showing it in multi theaters and sucking up the oxygen so that good foreign movies don't get shown.
Sort of reminds me of my friends who pay far more attention to how much a meal costs than in how it tastes.

The idea that some dark existential French film costs the same to go see as this appalls me!!
