    For some background, North Allegheny is probably the preeminent athletic program in the state, but PA is no way a particularly strong state on the track. Last year, I believe Owens won the PIAA meet all by himself.

    Anyway, ridiculous improvement.

    By the way, Owens got 12th at World U20s despite a DQ in the 400. He's a 48-high guy and would likely have been 4th if not for that. Don't recall reason for DQ.

    It seems to me he was kinda in Kyle Garland's shadow the last few years. BTW, where is Garland. He has been low profile lately. Is he injured? Did he go to Georgia? Anybody know?
