Advice where to sit for Prefontaine at Stanford
    #1
    Hello,

I am going to the PRE this year at Stanford specifically for the Pole Vault. Never been to stanford's track so not a clue where to buy seats. I knew where at Hayward, though I won't anymore in the future at Hayward either!

    Thanks in advance!

PV at Stanford is usually run perpendicular to the straightaways, at the finish line end. Vaulters start on the finish side and the pits are by the 1500 start. If you're up for it, best simply to stand against the fence if you can get a place. (assuming their traffic flow permits such)

Is the meet in the afternoon or the evening? There was no timetable on the site.

I don't doubt that you're right, but that info should be available on the web. I looked and couldn't find it.

I have been looking at the maps and it looks like the vault is on the opposite side where it is at Hayward field. The fence closest to the vault is full of trees.

no, unlike Hayward, where the vault runs parallel to the track, at Stanford it's perpendicular
