Jenn Suhr improved by more than a foot one year early in her career.

Biggest I can think of before Cunliffe was when Mondo went from 16-1 to 16-8 during his Frosh year of HS!!

A friend says it's common to have such big improvements when young!
    But she's almost 19!
1 foot improvements are not uncommon. It helps to have a specific weakness to correct, to be still growing, etc. once an athlete nears world class, the improvements slow down dramatically.

This one is interesting where in a year Lavillenie went from 5.65 to 6.0.

Cunliffe's 14-9 is NOT listed in the latest eTN---the Women's INdoor list!!

    Only her 14-0!!

That would have been quite a bit of prognostication for the list keepers as the publishing date for the list was March 12!

aaronk's reference is to the ETN dated March 25th. There doesn't appear to be any reference to any other end date for marks on the publication and Cunliffe's mark is not on it.

The online list on the "Lists" link of the T&FN website has an end date of March 14th. Whether the two are supposed to be one and the same, I am not sure.

It would be nice to see official results posted somewhere. Perhaps I am too dense to find them, but this page -- https://www.athletic.net/TrackAndFie...71700&show=all -- does not have them yet.

Sorry, I didn't realize they still weren't up. I just sent Pat a text to remind him, he says he'll get them up by tomorrow. I sent a picture of the official's sheet to the powers that be when it happened.

Milesplit has never had a presence in our state. I have no idea who runs the WA Milesplit page. Athletic.net started in Oregon and we immediately embraced it, like 15+ years ago.

    And yet they
    a. reported the story
    b. have a fully functional site with tons of
    - results
    - meets coming up
    - discussion board
    etc.

I have never found athletic.net to be as useful as milesplit.com at fleshing out a state's HS picture.
