The baton that should have been handed off was from the late Lam Jones. I truly believe Boling's 4x4 relay anchor will now sit side-by-side for legendary status with the leg Jones ran at the same meet in 1976.

I asked Boling if he knew who Jones was. He said no. I told him he might want to read up on him, because he'll be hearing comparisons for a long time to come.

    Actually, it's the opposite.
In a workout video last week, he said that he hasn't changed his training this year; he continued to train as a 400m runner, despite changing events to the 100m.
So who knows what will happen with this 100m once his training becomes more focused on that.

Wonder what other meets he will be attending? Will he be able to compete in the WC?

I don't doubt that several of the top 400 men could run 10.13 under the same conditions.

That's a tall order, even for a wunderkind. Making the relay pool would be cool!

That stride reminds me a bit of Juantorena, he's a bit shorter ( I read 6-2 to Juanto's 6-3 ) but extremely powerful.
