    i know a retired official who specialized in wind gauge for thirty years. It was uncanny how close he could come to predicting wind speed as he worked.

    I can get pretty close if there are field pennants about. Flags are often useless.

    You can't link to a specific year on the IAAF site, or any specific page in the athlete profile for that matter.

    You need to tell people how to navigate to the data you are referencing, otherwise, if they follow your link they will just end up on the athlete's home page.

    I noticed that a bit later. Sorry.

    You need to go to the results tab and then pick his senior year(2008).

    Actually not a bad idea at all, but unfortunately I'll be busy with my real job right up until start time, and then busy covering the meet for T&FN once it starts. But those of you with more free time on your hands should totally do that.
