Bowie ran 11.29 for 5th place today behind Kambundji's 11.12. Doesn't seem to be making much progress.

It looks like a (very suspicious) 0.108 reaction time (essentially a jump that is not so quick as to get DQed. I can not get the results to work.

Yes, Luis Gabriel Pereira Silva was DQd in that race with a 0.099 RT. It looks like he took the sole blame.

The venue is at about 880m elevation, so the 9.90 +3.2 in the final converts to a 10.06 0.0 at sea level, using JRM's calculator.

The guy's 10.08 +2.1 in the first round is equivalent to a 10.20 0.0 at sea level, so a 0.14 drop in the final is about what you'd expect.

Not sure what to make of this yet. After her 11.09 in Madrid I was confident she would be well under 11 secs come Doha, but she suffered a bad loss there in Bellinzona. However, it was her 4th race/3rd meet in a week, so there has to be some fatigue there, and we don't know whether she's training through these races. However, equally she could be playing catch up and trying to get races in to sharpen up.
As I've said re Schippers though, she does still have some time (just under 4 weeks until the first round of the 100m) but that may not be enough. If she doesn't improve on her Madrid form she wont make the final, let alone medal.

Maybe Bowie is simply trying to make some money?

The other Borlee (Jonathon) ran 200m at Nationals: 3rd in 21.02 (-0.7), heat of 20.96 (0.8).

    Near PR from Thiam in 100mH: 13.36 (0.2) + 13.48 heat. Her best is 13.34 from 2017.
