Nope, she was busted in 2016 for doping at Beijing 2008, served a two-year ban from '16-18 and has been competing since last summer. Still without a green light for international competition.

Ah, ok. Thanks. It's been difficult to keep up with the details of all these re-tests in the last few years!

While it's certainly not remarkably fast, in a seldom run race, it is only 13 or so seconds off the world record, and = to 71st performance ever. And there are some pretty big names who have run slower. Obviously big names have run faster, as well - but you've got Mary Slaney, Sonia O'Sullivan, Paula Radcliffe, Regina Jacobs - who also posted slower 2k times.

I didn't see the race, or the pacing - but looks like a pretty decent opener to me.

Actually it's very good given her 1500 PR of 3:59.92. 5:38.19 is 4:13.6 pace maintained for another third of a 1500. She may not even be in 1500 PR condition at the moment.

It also suggests that down the road she may be competitive at 3k.

Another big PR for Purrier, running 15:08. She hits both world and olympic standard.

Saneyev, Edwards and Taylor, is it a coincidence that the 3 best are also the 3 most gracile and technically flawless TJers ever.. Ok maybe there are a few more that were just as breathtaking to watch, deOlivera was up there for sure.
