    USATF Indoors thread

Is it just my lack of knowing where to look, or is there no thread for US Indoors going on in Staten Island this weekend? I will be there Sunday - but have seen no activity on the boards about the meet.

Probably because it's a non indoor championship year and not a big meet. NCAA Conference champs will likely produce better results.

But regardless there should be some great performances from the Americans who choose to run the off distances at USAs.

Looking over the start lists, it really is slim pickings this year. Not surprising given the length of the season.

even if the season weren't so long the entries would be down for the simple reason that there's no World Indoor team to qualify for.

Wow, yeah, it is pretty light. Hadn't looked at the entries. Some marks that are almost low enough that I would have qualified as a Master's athlete a few years back (not quite, but close)!

Still fun to watch indoor track meets.

Men's weight throw has already started and McCullough has thrown 23.82 already. In a real quick scan of the entries probably the most noteworthy head to head in my mind is Orji vs Franklin in the wTJ. As a totally incomplete list of a few others there is Brazier vs Sowinski at 600, Murphy vs Andrews at 1000 and Quigley vs Grace in the wMile.

Daniel Haugh wins the mWT with a WL 24.12 (yeah I know not a ton of the world actually does this event, but nonetheless an excellent mark).

For those interested, I posted a lengthy detailed Preview of the entire meet---men and women---earlier this morning.
It's available on my blog, or on my Twitter and Facebook pages!
