We've had a couple of German WLs in Berlin this evening. Malaika Mihambo 6.99m in the long jump, she also had 6.98m and 6.94m in her series. Pamela Dutkiewicz 7.89s over the hurdles ahead of Cindy Roleder 7.91s.

Since it wasn't mentioned in the Millrose thread: Konstanze Klosterhalfen broke two very old German records. She ran 4:19.98 for the mile and 4:02.70 for the 1500m along the way. The previous German records were 31 and 34 years old. Koko is only the 5th woman in history to run a sub 4:20 mile indoors, if the IAAF lists are correct.
i Really hope we get to see a clash with Laura Muir in Glasgow.

In other news, Christina Schwanitz set a WL in Sassnitz with 19.31m.

Muir ran 8.48 to win the British Trials 3000m yesterday, closing in 56.x. She’s running the mile next weekend but said she hopes to double at the EIC, despite the fact the timetable isn’t as favourable as previous champs

The 1500 heats in Glasgow come 2.5 hrs. before the 3000 final, so the double ain't easy. But maybe Muir reckons the heats are going to be just a stroll for her.

thanks for the update, norunner: Terrific performances for both KK and Reh. Am I correct that Reh's mark makes her #2 on the German a-t list at this indoor distance? Another excellent young talent, along with KK.

Thank you -- it seems whenever I am trying to keep up with GER a-t lists, I always overlook someone.
