Pan Powell..the Skomilowska meet on Sept 14th...is that going to be a full events meet or just a throws and sprints one? It looks like the last big event in Europe and a perfect warmup for some for Doha.

It was never throws and sprints only. It didn't have any races above 110m when it was held in the National Stadium in Warsaw, since there is no track there. But since it was moved to Chorzów last year, it's now a full-program meet.

The program of the meet is available HERE

Thank you, Pan Powell...good start lists and I see Lewandowski and Mr. K in the 800..I learned a polish word to describe Lewandowski...Byk...I don't know how he has time to settle in for any kind of moderately long training blocks with all the traveling he's doing this season..specially that week that he won in Oslo and then went to Boston and then Ostrava.

European U20 and U23 champion in JT Cyprian Mrzygłód is out of Doha with an elbow injury. Which is a shame, since he is a big-time performer and I was hoping for a good result from him - not a medal, but a top 8 placing seemed possible.

Yes, he improved from last year where he had high 70s with occasional throws over 80m to all throws over 80m this year, except for a few early comps.

He hasn't thrown since early August, so hopefully his rehab is already substantial and he can get a good preparation in for the OG.

This is kind of fun: Polish public TV made a Charlie's Angels-themed WC trailer with the w4x4 team.
