    He was clearly not at his best in Doha, but that was largely due to various health issues he had this year. Moving up is a plan he has, but that's scheduled for AFTER 2020.

    I guess if he can make the Tokyo final and the race pace is right, lightening could strike and bring him medal. But he has always seemed to me to be tailor made for the 1500m. Im surprised he didnt move up 3 years ago.

    Based on what? Lewandowski was always more of an 800/1500 type, so his moving up was logical, while Kszczot was more of a speed-based 800 specialist (although I guess his speed is no longer what it used to be).

    At 5-10 and slightly built I just cant see why he was not from the beginning an 800/1500 guy though his 46.5 is an impressive 400m PR for an 800m specialist. Now dont bite user4s head off, as Im just a fan of the little man!

    He's built pretty much like Borzakovskiy, who was very much a speed-based runner, and never made much of an impact at 1500.

    Yes, apparently he didn't hurt himself, although he did not take any more attempts (the pole break occured on his first attempt at 5.82).
