    Juicy news indeed.

This year will be interesting if they compete with each other.

Based upon the story I was told this is true. I was told Bowie thought SMU and another female athlete (I cannot recall who it was) were making fun of her/goofing on her for some reason while training. No idea if they were only that this was her perception.

"Bleeding from the head"? That's more intense than I would have thought.

Hope Bowie is able to find herself in a healthy training situation. She has so much talent, and still has a lot of untapped 200m potential, in my opinion.

Hasn't there been this kind of issue with athletes at the same training centre and sudden departures ordered?

What other Adidas coaches are out there for Bowie to go to?

On the one hand I'm like, for goodness sake, they both need to grow up. On the other hand I'm like oooo we need some real life rivalries in women's track.

Real life 'beef', as I think the youngsters call it nowadays, can be good for the sport. Outspoken athletes can help with marketing events and big head to heads. Lewis v Johnson in the 80s wasn't just all about the two fastest men facing off, Lewis's outspoken nature and veiled criticisms of Johnson added some spice. The same with Michael Johnson and Bailey. Not quite the same but similar was the Torrance/Ottey thing.

Something probably missed by many but I recall Kumberness's big dislike for Pavlysh. At one of the champs Pavlysh was giving Kumberness the side-eye, and at one point I thought big Astrid was going to lamp her. Good job even bigger Stephanie Storp stopped her. Lol. But hey, I like a bit of beef.

Personal rivalry and trash talk is one thing, and I agree it adds a bit of spice, but getting physical with your rival is just a bit too much for my liking.

This topic is titled very much like a TMZ article. The "fight" between the two ladies is a minuscule part of the full story regarding Bowie's current situation. She even notes herself:

“After I tore my quad, I figured I just wanted to be at the [Elite Athlete Training Center] because I knew they were going to have lots of doctors and food—you know, everything I need to get better,” she said. “That’s why I moved out here. It wasn’t really because of the situation, but the situation did affect my move, too.”

As a whole though, her situation does sound strange.
