Is M50 Puerto Rican sprinter Edgardo Guilbe for real?

This is a note I sent to the Puerto Rican athletics governing body.

Anyone out there have intel on this gent?

    Greetings, ladies and gentlemen:

I've been alerted to potential M50 age-group world records by Puerto Rico Olympian Edgardo Guilbe.

According to his IAAF profile, he was born in 1966 and in 2018 ran the 100 in 11.10, 200 in 21.95 and 400 in 49.68.

The 200 and 400 marks are better than the listed World Masters Athletics records of 22.44 and 50.73.

Can you confirm his age and these performances? Has your affiliate submitted these marks for WR consideration?

Thanks for any info, and happy new year!

Are you asking if the athlete profiled here is 52 years old?

Maybe the Fountain of Youth is in Puerto Rico.

My guess would be that we're talking about a father and son.

Someone fat fingered 1996 as 1966. Better call INTERPOL, Ken.

Two different people: Edgardo Guilbe Alomar, Olympian, and Edgardo Guilbe Correa, university student in Ponce.
