Levchenko now with 7 successive clearances up to a new PB of 2.02! Looks like Lasitskene is in for a rare defeat today.

Lasitskene on the ropes. Seven jumps with a best of only 1.98. Meanwhile Levchenko over at 2.02 with no misses.

Both Levchenko and Lasitskene missed at 2.04; so the streak is over.

Levchenko's final attempt at 2.04 was very close. She had a fairly lackluster first half of the season, but has been getting better and better lately. I'd still go for Latitskene for gold, but Levchenko is definitely the most likely candidate for silver.

Nice PR (and AL) of 83.21 (273-0) for Michael Shuey with his 2nd throw in the javelin. Of course, that's "only" 4th vs. Vetter, Kirt, etc.

In the team battle, Europe ahead by 106 pts, I think, with 5 events remaining to be scored.

Edit: Vetter extends his lead with 90.03 on 3rd throw! Only Kirt has throw further this year.

After a 3 foul performance in the hammer, Maggie Ewen throws a PR 19.47 (63-10 1/2) to take the lead in the shot!

Fanny Roos set a Swedish record of 19.06 in the final round and Anita Marton threw a SB of 18.95. I'll go out on a limb and predict a medal for Marton in Doha.

Looks like a barn-burner of a mixed medley relay; Europe coming out on top.

    Felix 50.10; Okolo 49.81

Felix should run her individual races with a baton in her hand. It clearly makes her faster.
