But also said she's shutting down her season!
After XC, IN & OUTdoors, not surprised!

BTW, if she'd run 15:02 about 6 weeks earlier, it would have been the Collegiate Record!
But no marks made after NC's qualify for Records or Lists!

Maybe she can get in a quick 3000m or 1500m before she shuts it down for the season.

DL finals, I believe, do have some "wild card" spots left open, particularly in non-lane races

Whatever happened to the days when a meet like this had BOTH the 5K and 10K? How soon the organizers forget the spectacular night in 1997, when Paul Tergat ran 26:27.85 and Daniel Komen ran 12:39.74 to wipe out both of Haile Gebrselassie's WRs in the same meet (Brussels). Nothing would be more spectacular than to have one long-distance race start the meet and the other to end it, even if one race was a women's race and the other the men's race...

...To hell with trying to fit all the big events within a 2-hour window to satisfy the broadcasters (which is why they don't have 10Ks at these meets anymore)! If it needs to be 3 or 4 hours, so be it!

The number$ don't support it - and that is (literally) the bottom line.

Broadcasts can be manipulated - see field events - or they can be placed on alternative channels. Run the longer distance events earlier or later in the day, possibly a separate day with a second admission or as a freebie - buy one event get the second free.

    Imagination can defeat narrow-thinking capitalists.

TV can demand certain events to be part of their two hours broadcasting.
Additional races/events can take place before the start or end of 2 hours broadcast.
I watch Euro and US TV and always other live events cut into T&F (live or tape delay) broadcasts.

    Personal experience:
I taught a 3-week specialty course in July this year. At one point I asked my students what are their favorite TV stations and radio stations. All twenty students said they do not watch anything on TV. Five said they listen to radio only when they drive their cars. TV is out people!

I don't know the criteria, but why wouldn't she qualify for Zurich?

She hasn't accrued any Diamond League points in the 5000m.
