Loved reading this full page article when I opened up the paper this morning. If you read it, you'll notice that it talks about how sometimes these young female phenoms lose their advantage when they mature and their body types change. Its a cautionary tale. By the way, as I wrote it was full page. Nothing, zero, ziltch about the incredible performances at yesterday's NCAAs. The Times would rather be a magazine than a NEWSpaper.

Hope she goes for that 1982 HSR at NBN!!

Supposing she had enough left for a kick after running 1500 meters at 4:14 pace.

Seems Tuohy will NOT be racing again this year!
She's not listed as an entrant in either the USATF Jrs or the NBN!
Don't know of any other meet she would run in!
She has such massive talent--would've loved to see her take a crack at the HSR's in the Mile, Two Mile, and 5000 at NBN,
Or the 1500 at World Juniors!
    Anyone heard differently?

Her calling it a season is consistent with the article cited in the post that began this thread.

I, too, would like to see her running in one of those meets. But I'd much rather see her continue to develop and not to come to a premature halt (or at least a long pause) the way Mary Cain did. If her coaches and parents believe that ending the season now is best for her in the long term, I'm not going to argue with them.

Absolutely. Better to err on the side of caution.

I wonder how many, if any, girls in Kenya, the same age as Tuohy can (have) run the same times as Tuohy.

Let's Run has the entry list for NBN, with a thread saying Tuohy will run the Mile.
But she's not listed as an entrant in any events!
Is the deadline past for entries?
