Miller-Uibo runs 22.06 into a slight headwind to wind the w200m. Schippers and Jackson about three-tenths back in second and third.

Miller-Uibo continues with the excellent form we saw her in at the CWG.
22.3 is a great opening time for Schippers especially as it's only May.
Ta Lou was slightly disappointing here after her 100m PB in Doha. Maybe her focus is the 100 this season?

Lavillenie wins the pole vault in 5.81m. Lisek clears the same height. Bizarre day at the office for Kendricks.

Jackson underperformed a bit for me. She was coming off a 22.18 PR from the Commonwealth Games. I thought she'd be at least as fast today.

Something like that. He was taken off on a stretcher and he was not at the medal ceremony they just had.

By the way, they did quick medal ceremonies for the top 3 of every event.

Miller was world number 1 last season at both 200 and 400 so was certainly the one to beat coming into 2018. She's had a mini peak at the recent CWG so one expects her to be a step ahead of her main competition, especially as she said her focus is the 200 this season.
According to her IAAF interview in Doha, Schippers has ditched the lower reps at higher speed back in favour of higher reps at slower speed. It will be interesting to see if that materialises into better form at the back end of a race and more akin to her 15/16 form and not 17 form. Although she was still world champ and beat Miller when it mattered.
Ta Lou may well be focussing on shorter distances after the indoors and her 100 PB
Off seasons are always weird as peaks are different for different athletes and as we're seeing, they may prefer to focus on one event or a change in approach compared to other seasons.
