The USATF statement mentions that the new location will be announced no later than June. That's not much time the throw a plan together for any location that didn't bid the first time. If you factor out Eugene, that leaves Sacramento.

They should do is keep Hayward as is with some changes and build Knight Stadium and that dumb tower somewhere else in town.....like next to Autzen....or in Autzen...

This is nuts. The third-greatest track meet in the world and it's...."well, uh, where do we put it? How about here? Nope, that won't work. Maybe over there? Nope, not there neither. Uh....uh....uh....we're out of ideas."

Really getting tired of Eugene hosting major US meets...how about expanding interest in the sport geographically? Texas, Florida, Chicago 😉😉😉

Because no one goes.....and it takes a dedicated crew to run these things....Chicago would be nuts....where you put it....who would organize it...and attendance would be dismal....

Organizing these things take a special place...outside a few areas the Third greatest track meet in the world doesn't mean much...

Can't get over the idea that some folks look at the Trials as kind of traveling road show...that can appear anywhere.

Time for gh or someone to bump one of the many threads we've had discussing/debating this. In essence, 1. Need a venue that will seat 20,000 (?) and 2. Need a local group of pushers and movers to make it happen, from "hey, let's bid for the OT" thru "it's a wrap, what an awesome meet THAT was!"
