Transgender hurdler CeCe Telfer, formerly Craig Telfer, just won the NCAA D2 final of the women's 400mh, after spending prior seasons competing as a mediocre man (PB of 15.17 in the 110h and 57.34 in the 400h).

I am sure, CeCe is so proud.

CeCe now says that she is at a disadvantage competing against girls. See story in front page headline section.

    His, I'm sorry . . . her . . . words

‘If anything, me competing against cis gender females is a disadvantage, because my body is going through so many medical implications,” Telfer told ESPN’s Ryan Smith on “Outside the Lines.” “It’s going through biochemistry changes. … Being on hormone replacement therapy … your muscle is deteriorating, you lose a lot of strength because testosterone is where you get your strength, your agility.
So basically, she is complaining that while she was given a huge advantage to begin with, that advantage has diminished some (one wouldn't know it comparing pre/post marks), even though she is still GREATLY advantaged.
The fact that she is so deluded - speaks volumes.

This is a bit like a female elephant complaining that its T-levels put it at a disadvantage in a weightlifting competition with a male mouse!

Itís nothing to do with advantage / disadvantage. Cece is not and never will be woman. At best Cece will be a ball-less man. IMO, Cece, Hubbard are nothing but cheats.

Seems to be a total waste of a college education.

Apparently, it is politically incorrect to refer to CeCe as a biological male who now identifies as a woman.

Ill go one step further, (because user4 always has to) no level of societal acceptance of the "transgender", no opening of avenues to accept them as the opposite sex of their own biology will change the mental anguish they live under. Body dysphoria is between their own ears. No amount of competing against women can change this.

Only you can make yourself feel good about yourself and a surgeon or a competition with women is not going to solve that problem.

Only you can do that, and user4 strongly suspects, based on the evidence that nothing society does or changes can eliviate the anguish that these people are living under.
