    I'm confused ... Major T&F events have used this for years, haven't they? We're always seeing shots from above that move with and follow the athletes. That footage is from the "Spidercams" you're talking about.

    Yes, spider cams. Have we had them leading runnings up the straightaways (esp. sprints) and I just haven't noticed? I don't feel like we saw Colemen's 9.76 from in front and a little above him.
